I'm a Product Designer focused on preventing costly mistakes through comprehensive discovery—my layouts are grounded in data and system architecture, not just visual trends. My background combines MBA business training, developer experience, and OOUX (Object-Oriented UX) methodology.
This allows me to bridge business strategy, technical feasibility, and user needs in a single conversation.Using AI tools to accelerate discovery and analysis work, I compress traditional timelines while maintaining methodology rigor.
When stakeholders ask "what's the thinking behind this?" I have data-backed answers tracing design decisions to business rules, user needs, and technical constraints.
Currently designing for construction tech at ConstructConnect, where I work on multi-product platform architecture, design systems, and cross-product integration.

Experience

ConstructConnect | Product Designer (2022–Present)

Designing for multi-product B2B SaaS platform serving construction industry. Work spans product design, design systems architecture, and cross-product integration requiring sophisticated systems thinking.

Key Work:
  • Design System Architecture: Migrated 99 components from Adobe XD to Figma using Atomic Design principles. Implemented W3C Design Tokens specification with AI-assisted optimization of 400+ variables. Established scalable foundation serving multiple product teams.
  • Payment Portal Redesign: Transformed fragmented workflows into systematic payment framework. Partnered with UX designer to systematically map all workflows in Miro, uncovering inefficiencies not obvious from isolated screens. Streamlined interaction patterns and implemented systematic validation building user trust.
  • Updated User Login: Redesigned company login and onboarding to migrate off Auth0 before subscription expired. Met non-negotiable deadline preventing access disruption. Collaborated with developers from outset to confirm technical feasibility while streamlining new user onboarding.
OnCenter Software | UX Designer (Prior)

Designed for desktop construction estimating software, focusing on complex calculation workflows, field management tools, and professional user needs.

Notable Projects:
  • Field Center iPad App: iOS companion app for construction drawing management with offline capabilities. Paper prototyping and 60+ page use case documentation demonstrated ability to iterate rapidly and document complex workflows systematically.
  • Custom Formula Builder: Trade-specific material calculation system requiring deep construction domain research across different trades (drywall, framing, steel, concrete).
Earlier Experience
  • Infusion: Interactive Developer (web development, UI implementation)
  • Sogeti: Consultant (user experience)

How I Work

My Approach: Discovery First, Pixels Second
I prevent costly mistakes by doing comprehensive discovery before designing interfaces. This means:

  • Understanding System Architecture
Before wireframing, I map data models, business rules, and technical constraints. Developers appreciate designs that work within system reality rather than requiring architectural rewrites.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
Every layout decision traces back to data requirements, user needs, or business rules. When challenged on "why this approach?" I have receipts—not just aesthetic preferences.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership
I work in true Product Operating Model triads as equal partner with Product Management and Engineering. My developer background and business training mean I contribute to product strategy and technical feasibility discussions—not just visual design.
  • Accelerated Execution with AI Tools
I use AI tools to speed up research, documentation, and analysis work while maintaining design quality and comprehensive documentation. This enables faster delivery without compromising rigor.
